The problem with the navigation to the 'portrait' section is now fixed.

Also the link to the 'shop' section now goes to our Etsy shop, which has had more items added to it

We've set up shop over at Etsy to sell a few prints and the odd canvas if you fancy a browse, it will be being added to in the next few days

The prints shop has been disabled for now as it needs some work to enable international shipping and price adjustments

In an aim to broaden my audience further i have signed up to, and uploaded 107 images to my new DeviantART account.

For those that don't know DeviantART is a free website that allows people to upload images, poems etc for a large community to view.

I have updated the site to include downloadable brochures from the 'prices' section.

Kinver Country Fayre

It's that time of the year again, when Kinver's shops spill out on to the street for one day.

Many stalls, shops and games are sure to be there and entertainment in the form of a Samba band, walking parade and much much more.

So what can you get from Daniel James Photography?, we'll be stocked up with frames and prints of Kinver, photo keyrings, torches and mats and even adding a few new bits of stock for the day!

You can have your photograph taken in a sports (the theme of the fayre this year) related cutout which can then be bought as a print, keyring or even on a mousemat!

All this and more, 10am-6pm, 10th May, Kinver!

Welcome to the all new look Daniel James Photography.

After many redesigns this is the latest version which loads quickly and has a lot more features including many new categories and a much bigger selection of photographs to view.

We're working on the price list and services pages still and the shop is being recreated but for now, please access the shop here

Brushing Up & Website Update

Website Update

Just a quick update on the new photography website.

It is around 75% completed now and pending workloads i hope to have it live in the next week or so.

A slow process due to the volume of editing involved in what is essentially 10 photo shoots. Additionally the lack of electricity for the first 2 and a half hours of the day made me wary of using anything except the flash gun (ideally the studio lights would have given a much more even lighting) and so means a lot of editing work required for some.

Daniel James Design - www.danieljamesdesign.net - will feature promotional work, website designs i've created for clients and any other design related projects

Daniel James Photography - www.danieljamesphotography.net - will be getting a major revamp in around a month or so to make way for more recent photographs and a more varied selection for the galleries

We are now fully booked for Saturday, April photo sessions and can only take a few more weekday/sunday bookings therefore we have an offer open for May,

Book now and not only do you get 5 6x4 prints but you also get a 5x7 print thrown into the deal!

Currently juggling other editing as well as photo shoots but so far,

Rome Wasn't Built In A Day...

and neither will the new version of the website.

Yes, i've been working on a more efficent version of the website for a month or so now, still tieing up loose ends and trying to trim it down so it's quikcer loading etc but essentially the biggest add-ons are more sections of photographs, a new version of the shop and some other general layout changes.

Any suggestions for additional navigation/design aspects are welcome

Pet Portrait Day - 29th March 2008

A great turn out, this day was planned to allow owners to bring their prized pets to have their photographs taken. We had a total canine dominance with 14 dogs having the star treatment, we are planning another for later in the year (possibly close to Christmas with a red backdrop etc for gift ideas) and maybe even a Small Pet Portrait Day for animals such as hamsters, rabbits, gerbils etc (thoughts on this are greatly appreciated)

Photographs of the models will be posted up once release forms are recieved
